My ethos
One of my core values in life is honesty. I believe that this leads to trust and faith, which form the foundations for all successful relationships.
All my patients are treated to the very best level of care that I can offer them, however short or long the treatment we have planned is.
My inquisitive nature means you'll find me researching certain things to great depths. It enables me to explain every detail when discussing orthodontics or otherwise (usually food or travel!).
I believe that everybody deserves to know their options, so I will always give those that are available along with my recommendation.
Dentistry and Orthodontics
My passion for dentistry began before I commenced my dental studies when I was awarded a science bursary by the Nuffield Foundation: I was given the opportunity to work on a research project within London's Guy's Hospital exploring confectionery advertising on television.
I subsequently undertook my dental studies at the University of Birmingham, during which I was fortunate enough to learn from some of the greatest minds and simultaneously develop a prize-winning scope of clinical experience.
After qualifying as a dentist in 2008, I spent several years across Hospitals in South Wales, Bristol and East Grinstead acquiring further skills in general, paediatric, restorative and community dentistry.
I also gained experience in oral & maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics. During these years, I was awarded the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
It was during these years where my passion for dentistry steered me into orthodontics and so I joined the three-year orthodontic postgraduate training programme based at Cardiff Dental Hospital.
I was awarded a Master of Dental Science Degree in Orthodontics with distinction from Cardiff University as well as the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, allowing me to become a registered Specialist Orthodontist with the General Dental Council.
